Hans is shy and loves to be held and carried around.  He likes to be told often that he is a good boy.  He is completely housebroken but may have an accident when he is brand new in a home.  He loves to sleep next to his owner at night, loves to be held.  He is a very sweet little guy.  His characteristics are more like a Chihuahua than a rat terrier.  He loves hamburger, steak, ham, or chicken mixed with a barely detectable amount of vegetables, brown rice and a little warm water.  He eats a little dry food once in a while between meals.  He likes three meals/day if possible vs. one meal per day.  His tummy is small but he gets hungry often.  He gets cold easily.  He has had a little neglect, which will be evident, but with lots of love and time he will overcome his slight case of separation anxiety.  Hans will do well as the only dog in the home or with other dogs, as long as he receives a lot of attention.  Did I mention that he likes to be held?  Are you looking for a sweet little companion to stay by your side?  Hanz could be your guy!
